Professor Dominic Bresser visits ITS SASA

As part of the project activities New and еco-friendly sodium-ion battery cathode free fromlithium, cobalt, and vanadium, under the bilateral scientific and technological cooperation programme between the Republic of Serbia and the Federal Republic of Germany, our institute had the honor of hosting Prof. Dr. Dominic Bresser, a professor at the University of Ulm and a leading researcher at the Helmholtz Institute in Ulm, on July 31.

During his visit, at the invitation of Dr. Dragana Jugović, principal research fellow at ITS SASA, Prof. Bresser had the opportunity to learn more about the research programmes at our institute. The head of the Serbian team, Dr. Milica Vujković, principal research fellow at the Faculty of Physical Chemistry, helped organize this visit.

With 190 published research papers, 16,000 citations, and a Hirsch index of 56, Prof. Bresser is a recognized name in the field of electrochemical energy storage. He leads a group focused on the development and application of batteries, coordinates the current ERC project and other European initiatives, and is a recipient of prestigious awards, as well as an editor of the journal Journal of Power Sources Advances.

After the visit, we had the pleasure of attending his lecture Towards Better Batteries – Current Research Activities and Developments, held in the amphitheater of the Faculty of Physical Chemistry.
