On September 5, 2025, a group of eminent scientists from China visited the Institute of Technical Sciences of the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts (ITS SASA). The delegation included Dr. Yang Jianfeng, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Dr. Sang Kezheng, from Chang’an University, Dr. Zhu Jianguo, Sichuan University, Dr. Fu Qiuyun, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and Dr. Li Jiang and Dr. Li Guorong from the Shanghai Institute of Ceramics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The ITS SASA was represented by Dr. Miloš Tomić, Director, and Dr. Nina Obradović, Principal Research Fellow. The meeting was also attended by Academician Antonije Đorđević, Full Member of the Department of Technical Sciences of SASA, and members of the ITS SASA Group for Multifunctional Ceramics, Sintering and Composite Materials — Dr. Suzana Filipović, Principal Research Fellow, Dr. Adriana Peleš Tadić, Research Associate, and Dr. Darko Kosanović, Principal Research Fellow.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Miloš Tomić welcomed the guests, expressing his awareness of the remarkable achievements of Chinese scientists and the significant progress made over the past decades. He emphasized the Institute’s readiness for collaboration and joint scientific research. Following his address, Academician Antonije Đorđević gave a presentation introducing the Serbian Academy of Sciences and Arts, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of Belgrade, and his research results.
Dr. Nina Obradović then presented an overview of the Institute's, history, structure, research groups, ongoing projects, established collaborations, and the conferences the Institute has been successfully organizing or co-organizing for many years.
The guests expressed their gratitude for the hospitality and the opportunity to present their institutions, research groups, and notable results. In the spirit of friendly relations between the two countries, they emphasized their wish to collaborate on projects of mutual interest and kindly invited the hosts to return the visit.
After the official part of the meeting, gifts were exchanged, a cocktail reception was held, and the gathering continued informally in an exceptionally friendly and pleasant atmosphere.
