Institute has 34 employees, 28 of whom are included in research. Eleven associates are holders of PhD degree, with appropriate scientific titles, and eight of MSc with the title of Research Associate. Four members of SASA have been, for a long time, heads of the Institute’s research programmes and 15 young researchers are preparing for the scientific research vocation, eight of which are working on their PhD and seven on their MSc theses.
Head of the Institute is the Managing Board, elected by the Presidency of SASA, and Director of the Institute as the executive organ. The members of the Managing Board for the period from 2002 until the election of the new Law on SASA, are:

Operational services with four employees deal with administration, accountancy, supply, hygiene maitenance and other auxiliary work in the Institute, a another two employees provide technical services to research programmes.
