Dr. Miloš C. Tomić was born on June 21, 1963, in Pecka, Serbia. He graduated (Dipl. Ing.) at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, the University of Belgrade in 1987, where he received a magister's degree in Optoelectronics in 1994 and defended his doctoral thesis on fiber-optic low-coherent interferometric sensors in 2004. From 1988 to 2018 he was with the Institute of security in Belgrade, where he worked in the field of fiber optics, electro-optics, and optoelectronics. Since 2013 he is Associate Professor at National Security Academy, where he has been a lecturer on technical topics. 2019 he joined ITN-SASA, where he is involved in research of photovoltaic materials, components, and systems. He was elected to the highest scientific title of Principal Research Fellow, in the field of technical and technological sciences in 2019. Dr. Tomić is a reviewer for Optics Letters, Optics Express, Applied Optics, Optica, IEEE Journal of Sensors, Sensors and Actuators A, Journal of Optics A. He has authored/co-authored over 110 scientific papers published in journals and conference proceedings, 3 patents, and 5 technical solutions.
