Jelena Vujančević was born on December 9, 1985. She graduated from the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, University of Belgrade, at the Department of Inorganic Chemical Technology. The title of her graduation thesis was Adsorption of anionic dyes from aqueous solutions of functionalized acid-activated sepiolite. Jelena Vujančević enrolled in the doctoral studies in 2013 year at the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, the Department of Materials Engineering. She defended her PhD thesis in 2020 and was elected Research Associate in 2021.

Jelena Vujančević has been working at the Institute of Technical Sciences of SASA since April 2014.
