Jelena Vujančević was born on December 9, 1985. She graduated from the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, University of Belgrade, at the Department of Inorganic Chemical Technology. The title of her graduation thesis was Adsorption of anionic dyes from aqueous solutions of functionalized acid-activated sepiolite. Jelena Vujančević enrolled in the doctoral studies in 2013 year at the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, the Department of Materials Engineering.

Jelena Vujančević has been working at the Institute of Technical Sciences of SASA as a research assistant since April 2014.
